About Morag

I am warm, empathic and down to earth. With 20 years of experience of being a Counselling Psychologist, I bring with me a wealth of knowledge and understanding that you will learn and benefit from. Therapy will be tailored to meet your specific needs. During therapy, I use a variety of talking, experiential and practical strategies to help empower you to improve your life. I am trauma informed and I specialise in Schema Therapy. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy techniques.

Due to my strong commitment to mental health promotion and prevention, I run workshops on mental health and wellbeing issues to companies. I also provide training and supervision to health professionals. I have worked in senior management roles in the psychology field in the UK and Australia.

I am naturally curious about other people, a deep thinker with a caring nature. My life is about connections – to myself and others. I enjoy engaging in interesting conversations, self reflection, reading, listening to podcasts and personal development.

From a young age, I have been passionate about being open minded to different cultures, sexualities and believing in individuality and freedom. I can find the world a difficult place, so I entered psychology to help myself and others navigate it. I have tried and tested many strategies that I teach.

As a previously sun deprived Scot, I love the warm weather in Sydney and have lived here for 10 years. I am a novelty seeker who enjoys exploring new places, countries, cultures and having new experiences. Music, coffee and chocolate are important parts of my life.
